New Value Generated from Traditional Techniques
鋳物の街として400年余りの歴史を持つ“高岡”で、我々は約70年に渡り“着色仕上げ部門”として、ブロンズ製美術彫刻作品、仏像、仏具、建築装飾金物などへの、箔押し(金箔、プラチナ箔、色箔等)、古代色着色(緑青青銅色、おはぐろ色、古金色等)を専門として営んできました。その中でも、箔の継ぎ目が見えない鏡面仕上げや、緻密な溝・際まで貼る丁寧な『箔押し技術』は、多くのお客様から評価を頂いてきました。現在では箔押しをメインとし、“伝統的な”技法や知識をFRP(繊維強化プラスチック)やカーボンを始めとする“現代の”素材へも応用させ、その技術を活かせるシーンを拡大しています。
We have been in charge of “Coloring” Takaoka Bronzeware for almost 70 years in Takaoka, known as the town of casting with a history of over 400 years. We have been running a business specialized in gilding (e.g. Gold leaf, Platinum leaf) and coloring in Japanese ancient color (e.g. Verdigris color, Ohaguro color, and Old gold color) to the bronze sculpture, Buddha statues, Buddhist alter fittings, and architectural metal ornaments etc. Especially, our detailed and precise gilding techniques such as finishing in jointless mirror-like surface, and applying gold leaf to groove and edges has been highly appraised by a number of clients. Currently, we are focusing in gilding, and extending our fields by applying ‘traditional’ techniques and knowledges to ‘modern’ materials such as FRP, and carbon.

‘Gilding’ and ‘Coloring’ are the final process of producing the artworks, and we believe that this process can improve their quality. Under this responsibility for the final process, we provide the techniques that maximizes value of the products. We are working sincerely to be “the group of professional craftsman who tells with the techniques”.
